Rand Paul, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in Kentucky, has apparently cancelled a scheduled appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press this weekend.

Greg Sargent of the Washington Post:

Betsy Fischer, the executive producer of Meet the Press, just Tweeted that Rand Paul is trying to cancel his appearance on the show this Sunday.

I just reached Fischer, and she tells me Paul’s camp asked to cancel because "he’s had a long week."

"He committed to coming on on Wednesday," Fischer tells me. "We got an email from his press secretary this afternoon saying that he wanted to cancel."

Fischer adds that the Meet crew asked to talk directly to Paul himself to ask him to reconsider, but he has yet to call back. "We’re still waiting," she says.

Has this happened before?

"We tried to impress upon them that this is a big deal," Fischer continues. "The only other two people to cancel have been Louis Farrakhan and Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia."

Rand Paul is about as close to a leader of the Tea Party movement as you can get.
But after just two days of exposure the candidate is “exhausted”….which leads one to wonder how up to the job is the guy.

Most candidates work 7 days a week , 12 hours a day when they are in campaign mode.

This guy has been on the road for a whole two days and now he’s “exhausted”?

Is he suffering from chronic fatigue?
    Does he need a vacation?
Will he want to postpone the elections too?
    Has he had his bottle?
