Political Wire looks at two new Kentucky Senate polls as the primary nears. Voting will take place on May 18.
Republicans:
A new Bluegrass Poll in Kentucky finds Rand Paul (R) pulling away from Trey Grayson (R) in the Republican U.S. Senate primary.
Paul now leads Grayson by 16 points, 49% to 33%.
Democrats:
A new Bluegrass Poll in Kentucky finds Daniel Mongiardo (D) and Jack Conway (D) headed for a photo finish in the Democratic U.S. Senate race.
Mongiardo just edges Conway, 38% to 37%. Two months ago, Conway trailed Mongiardo by 18 points. Last month he closed the gap to three points.
