As the next battle “for the Senate heats up, the Democrat’s re-election committee brought in more money than its Republican counterpart in February,” CNN reports.
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Monday reports raising more than $3.4 million last month, which they say is the strongest February cash haul by either Senate party committee ever in an off election year.
The DSCC’s GOP counterpart, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, raised $3.3 million in February, according to a Republican source.
On the two other important figures, the DSCC reports $5.1 million cash on hand, far ahead of the NRSC, which has just under $1 million in the bank.
But the DSCC reports a debt of $8.6 million, more than the $5.3 million that the NRSC owes.
