McConnell Says GOP Will Unite Behind Budget

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) “said Tuesday that congressional Republicans will coalesce behind one plan to cut government spending,” The Hill reports.

In an interview with WLW Radio on Tuesday, McConnell said, "Senate Republicans are going to unify around whatever reduction they can get out of the House."

The Senate minority leader said he will try to convince Senate Democrats up for reelection to defect from their leaders and vote for the GOP’s spending reduction bill.
