Pennsylvania Senators Pat Toomey (R) and Bob Casey (D) will join President Obama at the White House to watch the Super Bowl this weekend, Morning Call reports.
If there’s anything that defies politics, it’s sports (except for sports metaphors about politics).
So what better time for Republican Pat Toomey to put aside his visceral disagreements with President Barack Obama than over beer and wings at the White House to watch a little football game called the Super Bowl?
It’s tradition for the President to invite lawmakers from the competing teams’ home states to spend Super Bowl Sunday at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Both Toomey and Democrat Bob Casey have accepted and will be waving thier Terrible Towels for the Pittsburgh Steelers alongside the Obamas.
