McCain Wants U.S. on Right Side of History in Egypt

Senator John McCain (R-AZ) on CNN’s “State of the Union” regarding the situation in Egypt and beyond: “we need to be on the right side of history in these countries.”

Saying this could be a “seminal moment” in the history of the Middle East, McCain noted the importance of quelling unrest in Egypt as quickly as possible in an effort to avoid an opening for radicals to obtain power.

Senator McCain is Ranking Member on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
