Senate Convenes 112th Congress

Based upon caucus affiliations, the balance of power is now 53 Democrats to 47 Republicans.

*Senator Mikulski became the longest-serving female Senator in history after being sworn in today.

    All of the senators have a .job to do for all people and not some of the people. If these senators cannot work in a bipartisan way for the good of the people they should not be able to continue their term.
