Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was tough on the Obama Administration’s response to the Gulf oil spill today.
Among other things, he was critical of how long it took for skimmers to be sent to the Gulf shore area to clean up oil.
When asked about the future of energy/oil spill legislation, he said that you “can’t legislate competence.”
McConnell did, however, say he might be in favor of legislating “some aspects” of the oil spill including a proper commission to investigate what happened.
He spoke on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
