The Senate Armed Services Committee “met off the Senate floor and voted to favorably report the nomination of General David H. Petraeus, USA to be general and Commander, International Security Assistance Force/Commander, U.S. Forces Afghanistan, to the full Senate,” according to a press release.
It was a voice vote.
Update (6/30): The full Senate has approved the nomination, 99-0.
