Kaufman, Kyl to Introduce Iran Resolution

In a floor speech today, Senator Ted Kaufman (D-DE) said he would join with Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-AZ) to introduce a Senate resolution dealing with Iran, specifically geared toward the unrest within the country after recent elections.

The resolution would affirm the Senate’s support for freedom of press, speech and expression for the Iranian people.  It also condemns any detainment, imprisonment and intimidation of journalists in the country.

Update (6/19): This resolution has been adopted by unanimous consent.

Yep another war is on the way, I believe the people of Iran needs our help. But A war would be costly on both sides

  2. Why is it so hard for politicians to just stay out of it? It has never occurred to them that the best policy is to not just say anything at all.
