McConnell Not Anticipating Republican Majority

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) “says it will be what he calls a ‘real stretch’ to see Republicans take over the Senate,” the AP reports.

During a question-and-answer session with reporters in Louisville on Friday, the Senate minority leader and Kentucky Republican predicted that after Election Day, the GOP will have a strong minority that can force solutions into the center. He says that’s what more Americans want.

McConnell said that while Republicans have a great chance of taking over the House, they’d have to have an almost perfect day to take over the majority in the Senate.
