Tonight, Senators unanimously confirmed the following nominees to serve in President Obama’s Administration:
- Laura Kennedy, a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, for the rank of Ambassador during her tenure of service as U.S. Representative to the Conference on Disarmament
- Eileen Donahoe for the rank of Ambassador during her tenure of service as the United States Representative to the UN Human Rights Council
- Paul Verkuil to be Chairman of the Administrative Conference of the United States for the term of five years
- Elizabeth Harman to be an Assistant Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency at the Department of Homeland Security
- Julie Brill to be a Federal Trade Commissioner for the term of seven years from September 26, 2009
- Edith Ramirez to be a Federal Trade Commissioner for the term of seven years from September 26, 2008
- Lillian Sparks to be Commissioner of the Administration for Native Americans at the Department of Health and Human Services
