Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) “on Sunday predicted that Democrats would get enough votes to pass healthcare reform legislation,” The Hill reports.
Only a simple majority of senators is needed to pass legislation under reconciliation rules, which are typically used to pass measures related to the budget. Democrats are considering using the tactic to pass fixes to the bill around a Republican filibuster.
"Our first hope is that we can get some movement from out Republican colleagues," he said on Fox News Sunday. "But in the absence [sic] of there may be the ability to proceed on a simple majority vote that has been used by Republicans in the past.
"I think we will get to that point, I think we will have the votes."

Senator Robert Menendez, surewly you are not so iinepth to not know that the HealthCare Resolution in the Senate, if altered by the House, has to then be sent back through the Senate and that the HCR is not a Law to send through reconciliation. In other words, being I think you are smart enough to know that, are of the character of a fraud.
Dear Senator,
Please just get the job done! The people are clamoring for this whole thing to get done!
The Senate bill has already passed by the 60 vote super majority last November, when the Senate passes this ‘fix’ for that bill, all that is needed is the House to vote on both of them, then off to the President’s desk.
Up or Down vote NOW and move on!
Thank you Sir and the Democratic Party for caring for the people!
C A Patterson, If the House were to pass the Senate Bill intact, it would then go to the Presidents desk. If the House alters it in any way, it must once again be voted on by the Senate with the 60 vote filibuster rule in tact.
There is not any procedure for reconcilling any Resolution, but for Acts in place. The HCR coming back from the House will not be Law to reconcile.
The best way to approach Health care reformation is to do a brainstorm making a list of priority issues. Then start with the top priority of both parties, working down the list form there, throwing together some, voting on some separately.
