
An amendment offered by Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) to the health reform bill (H.R. 3590) has been adopted by a vote of 97 to 1.
The amendment affirms that “nothing in this act shall result in the reduction or elimination of any benefits guaranteed by law to participants in Medicare Advantage plans,” according to a floor statement made by Senator Stabenow.
Sixty votes were needed for passage.
