Here is the Senate’s calendar for Monday, 11/2.

5pm Roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the substitute amendment to H.R.3548, the Unemployment Compensation Extension Act of 2009.

They have already voted on the cloture and since when is there a substitute amendment to HR 3548? More stalling BS tactics clearly. Who do they think they are kidding anyway??

Debbie….I know where you are at. I just got a letter from the CA Unemployment Centers, EDD, stating that I also can go back to school at 68 and re-train and still receive benefits. The gov. has funds for this, etc. In the next paragraph of this notice it clearly states that if you DO go back to school you could very well be cut off unemployment because you ARE getting grant money. Not only that but when I went to one of their Career Centers for advice I was told that the money to help people re-train is no longer available. The Indians are right when they say “White man speaks with forked tongue”. I have been without benefits for a while and my phone has been shut off, rent is past due, utilities gave a notice, etc. and the US Government could not care less. The Democrats may poke fun at the Republicans in ads but it really looks like they are now getting in on the stalling tactics. Where the hell is Obama in all this??? Entertaining, campaigning for others and avoiding even discussing the unemployed. Not a pretty picture at all.
