There was some confusion yesterday as to whether U.S. Representative Joe Sestak (D-PA) was really going to challenge Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA) in the 2010 Democratic primary.
Today, he’s made yet another definitive statement that he will in fact run. Greg Sargent:
Sestak has now said he’s going to run for Senate. Again.
It’s not easy to keep track, so let us catch you up. Yesterday Sestak made a splash by telling a local paper that he is “going to get into the race.”
After that, his spokesperson seemed to pull that back, saying that in fact he had not definitively declared that he’s going to run.
But now comes the latest, in an interview with the Philadelphia Enquirer:
“Unless something unexpected happens, I am going to get in this race.”
