Ford Motor Company has delivered a report to Congress which requests that lawmakers provide a $9 billion line of credit to help improve its financial situation, Politico reports.
Notably, Ford’s CEO, Alan Mulally, is expected to be in D.C. this week for hearings on his company’s proposal. He plans to drive there by way of a Ford Escape hybrid vehicle. The hearing will likely take place on Thursday.

Update: GM and Chrysler have also submitted their own requests today. All told, the three companies are asking Congress for over $34 billion in financial assistance.
