The Senate has voted to override the President’s veto of the Farm Bill (H.R. 6124) by a vote of 80 (Y) to 14 (N). A two-thirds majority is required to override a presidential veto.
The House voted to override the veto earlier today by a vote of 317 (Y) to 109 (N).
The Senate and House had both previously voted to override the president’s veto but it was later discovered that the bill left out a title dealing with trade and foreign food aid. All provisions and titles within the Farm Bill are now enacted into law as a result of these two votes.
