Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) announced earlier today that he will in fact convene an all-night session of the Senate if Republicans follow through, as anticipated, with their plan to filibuster the Reed-Levin amendment. The amendment calls upon the President to begin withdrawing troops within 120 days of the bill’s enactment. From what I understand and have read about this procedure, it will force Republicans to either come together and create a truce with the Democratic leadership or find themselves being called upon throughout the early morning hours on Wednesday to show up for quorum calls. Bring your PJ’s kids, it’s going to be a long night!
